Biography

Described as “a star on the rise” (The Violin Channel), Australian cellist Benett Tsai has gained recognition as a compelling soloist and chamber musician, performing on major stages worldwide. A top prizewinner at the 2022 Grand Prix Emanuel Feuermann in Berlin, he joined the storied roster of Young Concert Artists for management upon winning the 2023 YCA International Auditions in New York. His subsequent recital was named one of the best debuts in 2024 by New York Classical Review, and he is currently part of the Lausanne-based Classeek Ambassador Programme for the 2025/26 season. Recent collaborations include the Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra and Queensland Symphony Orchestra, in addition to renowned artists such as Esa-Pekka Salonen, Emanuel Ax, and Jean-Yves Thibaudet.
